The last few days have been overcast and drizzly so, because the sun's shining today, we'll take the chance to get out to show Anne some of the sights. There are a couple of stately homes close by, built in colonial times by the Archer family and one of them, Woolmers, has the National Rose Garden which might be worth a visit. Not being a gardener, I don't know whether roses have an off-season but we'll take our chances.
Jamie and Nera are heading for Hobart this afternoon, leaving Archie with us but, if we're not here, they can just leave him. He's used to being here so he won't fret.
